From the M5, exit at Junction 27 on to the A361. Stay on the A361 through Barnstaple and Braunton, following the signs to Ilfracombe. At Mullacott Cross Roundabout, continue straight ahead on to St Brannocks Road for 1.3 miles, passing Cook Island pub and Mullacott Equestrian Centre on the left-hand side. Wildercombe House is located on your left-hand side, in an elevated position – look out for our road-side sign.
Alternatively, from the A361 past South Molton, take the A399 scenic route to Ilfracombe, via Combe Martin, which is a pretty, scenic route, but not so good if you have been driving a while or are tired, or at night (unlit and lots of bends). If you take this route, upon arrival in Ilfracombe, drive through Ilfracombe High Street, right to the end. At the traffic lights, stay in the left-hand lane and continue straight across, bearing left at the mini-roundabout in to St Brannocks Road. Continue along St Brannocks Road for 0.7 miles, where Wildercombe House is located on the right-hand side, in an elevated position.
Note, due to our elevated position, access to Wildercombe House is via a fairly steep tarmac driveway, which is best approached when driving down St Brannocks Road, travelling inbound into Ilfracombe. This is not essential, but easier due to the tight right-hand turn into the driveway when driving up St Brannocks Road.
By Train:
Barnstaple is the nearest train station, via the Tarka Line from Exeter, followed by bus or taxi connections to Ilfracombe. If you would like us to arrange a taxi to collect you from the station, please contact us.

New routes from across the country now arrive at Bristol and Exeter airports, with car hire and public transport links to Ilfracombe.
By Bus:
Upon arrival in Barnstaple or Ilfracombe and you are travelling by public transport, take the number 21/21A bus, operated by Stagecoach South West, and disembark at the bus stop known as 'The Nook' in St Brannocks Road, just along from Wildercombe House.
