Wildercombe House during renovation

Wildercombe House during our renovations

Health & Safety

Health and Safety is a number one priority at Wildercombe House.  Therefore in order for your stay to be worry free, you will be able to view our certificates for food hygiene, equipment, fire, insurance etc., with copies on display in the building.

Our mattresses are ‘Crib 5’ rated, so you will feel confident in knowing that no compromise in comfort or safety has been made, whilst fire retardance remains a priority. When working through the design of Wildercombe House with Building Control and the Fire Brigade you can be assured that the word ‘compromise’ was never an option when meeting all of today’s safety regulations.  A full and comprehensive fire alarm and emergency lighting system has been installed, and for our disabled guests, grab rails, pull-down rails, wet room shower seats, emergency pull-cords and vibrating pillow pads triggered by the fire alarm are standard in the appropriate rooms. All rooms have electronic heat, light and sound sensors in the ceilings all of which are linked and controlled from the main control unit.

No human intervention is required, the system is fully automated.
